Asante Kotoko are on the verge of signing Burkina Faso teenager Mohammed Kahan according to reports.

The Porcupine Warriors have finalized the negotiations with Burkinabe club Rail Club de Kadiogo, and he is set to sign a long term contract with the Reds.

The 19-year-old forward will team up with his compatriot Sogne Yacouba in attack should he put pen to paper.

Asante Kotoko are keen to augment their squad after qualifying to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in 11-years.Read also: Kotoko policy analyst says club have renewed players contract

The Kumasi-based side have been drawn in Group C against Zambian sides Zesco United and Nkana as well as Sudanese side Al Hilal.

Kotoko will open their campaign with an away trip to Libya to square off against Al Hilal on Sunday, February 3.
